Flight Booking:

Please book your flight with arrival to Monterey Airport (MRY) by 10 AM on Tuesday, 9/16 and departure on Thursday 9/18 after 10 AM. Alternatively, you can fly in/out of SFO and arrange for your own ground transport while keeping the retreat schedule in mind.

We recommend the following flights:

LAX – MRY | Tuesday, September 16th — United by SkyWest: 8:24 AM – 9:45 AM (Non-Stop)

MRY – LAX | Thursday, September 18th — United by SkyWest: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM (Non-Stop)

Lunch will be served at 11 AM in La Playa’s Courtyard.

Experience an immersive theater performance by L.A.’s award-winning IAMA Theatre Company, featuring a series of five interactive scenes throughout the hotel. Roam La Playa’s historic halls and discover the eccentric — and often troubled — characters of the Carmel’s artistic past as the ensemble resurrects the colony’s roots as a Bohemian paradise to tell the story of two young lovers’ unconventional wedding celebration one winter’s evening in 1907.

The night is an invitation to be transported to turn-of-the-century Carmel. Back when the seaside village had a population of only 75. When the rugged fog-covered coastline seductively beckoned windswept luminaries. A moment in time when La Playa served as a commodious winter studio for a celebrated landscape painter and a wealthy chocolate heiress (a damn good artist in her own right). They opened their doors to not only welcome the misty sea breeze, but Carmel’s eclectic creative class who indulged in the institution’s sun-soaked thresholds and inspiring ocean views.

As customary with the Village’s fabled rendevous of yore, one’s night should neither end early nor quietly. We invite you to indulge in tradition and late-night revelry in Bud’s, with live jazz, copious libations, and a decadent dessert bar.

For those seeking to start the day right, we welcome you to join renowned physical trainer Amy Rosoff Davis in the lobby at 6:30 AM for an optional beach exercise session.

Each morning in the Library, enjoy a lavish Champagne Breakfast Buffet with stunning views of the Pacific Coastline. Drop by anytime between 7 AM and 9 AM for a leisurely start to your day.

Choose from a curated list of excursions suitable for every level of activity— each offering a one-of-a-kind immersive experience unique to California’s central coast.

All activities include transportation to/from and lunch. Activities sign-up will take place within the chapter app.

After a day of activity, we welcome you to kick your feet up with an afternoon Aperol Spritz in hand or join Amy Rosoff Davis for an optional guided Yin yoga and meditation sesson.

Join us for cocktails and a captivating fireside chat featuring a special guest in the Pacific Room.

Savor an extraordinarily intimate and stunningly elaborate chef-designed family-style dinner in the Courtyard.

We welcome late-night merrymakers to gather in Bud’s for raucous revelry replete with live melodies and spirited refreshments.
